Alternatives to Prettier – Popular Code Linting and Formatting Tools

What about Rome? It’s built in Rust and can format and lint JS faster.
The article is great because there are some alternatives that I didn’t know but I disagree with the title of the article. Prettier is not only a JS formatter, it can format CSS and HTML but only one of the alternatives given can do it.
Writing an article saying “Alternatives to Prettier” or “Use this formatter instead of Prettier” are ambiguous because Prettier can format other non-JS files while the others don’t.

Or we can use the built in formatter in vscode

These are good alternatives when you only need to format JS code. One of the biggest strength of Prettier IMO is that it handles multiple languages officially and has community plugins for many more.
