Alessandro Sgarzi's AcoustiHarvest project powers noise-cancelling headphone electronics by harvesting ambient city noise through a piezoelectric film. The circuit uses an LTC3588-1 power harvesting IC, supercapacitors, an STM32L011K4T6 microcontroller, a MEMS microphone, and a low-power class D amplifier — consuming only 1.7 nW total. Audio is delivered via a standard 3.5 mm jack. The project is an entry in Hackaday's 2026 Green Powered Challenge.
