Announcing the Official PHP SDK for MCP

The PHP Foundation, Anthropic's MCP team, and Symfony are collaborating to create an official PHP SDK for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The framework-agnostic SDK will be maintained by the Symfony team and aims to provide a production-ready reference implementation for building MCP servers that connect AI applications to external tools and data sources. The project consolidates earlier community work into a single trusted implementation and welcomes contributions from the PHP community.
