15+ years later, Microsoft morged my diagram

The creator of the widely-used Git branching model diagram from 2010 discovered Microsoft republished an AI-generated version on their Learn portal without attribution. The AI-generated copy contained obvious errors like "continvoucly morged" and degraded the original's carefully crafted visual design. While the author has always welcomed sharing of the original work, they criticize the careless process of running existing work through AI to strip attribution rather than creating something new or properly crediting sources.
