A personal creative project recreating Hokusai's woodcut prints as 1-bit pixel art at the original Macintosh screen resolution of 512x342 pixels. The work is done on vintage Macintosh hardware (Quadra 700 or PowerBook 100) running System 7, using Aldus SuperPaint 3.0. The post shares the first published piece from the series — 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa' — and offers a 640x480 desktop pattern version as a bonus download.
