Latitude, the startup behind AI Dungeon, has launched Voyage — an AI-native RPG platform that lets users design their own game worlds with AI-generated NPC interactions. Players can define settings, quests, mechanics, and villains, while the AI narrates unscripted outcomes. At the core is Latitude's proprietary World Engine, five years in development, which manages character memory, relationships, and continuity across sessions. The platform is in expanded beta with over 160,000 unique AI-generated characters encountered so far. Latitude has partnered with Google's AI Futures Fund and uses Gemini Flash and Gemma models. Voyage is free to play with subscription tiers planned at $15, $30, and $50.
